Recent breakthroughs in AI, and generative AI in particular, have captured the public’s imagination and demonstrated they have the potential to help people create a new era of economic and social opportunity, and give individuals, creators, and organizations new ways to express themselves and connect with people.
The Meta Llama Impact Innovation Awards are intended to further identify and support organizations who are already using Llama 2 or 3 as a core element of their work to address the challenges in their region as outlined below.

We encourage organizations based in Africa, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East, or Turkey* to submit applications demonstrating how they are already using Llama for projects or products that address the specific challenges aligned with each regional track.
Those teams whose proposals are selected as winners will be notified by September 2024. Applicants of interest and runners up may be notified by or beyond September 2024. Stay tuned for program updates.
We are open to any business, non-profit, academic institution, and research institution that has applied Llama 2 or 3 large-language models to one of our designated problem tracks. For specific questions regarding country eligibility and definitions of what qualify as eligible organization type, please refer to the program’s Terms & Conditions.

Yes! As long as your organization qualifies as an eligible applicant as defined by the Terms & Conditions you are welcome to submit a proposal.
You are not obliged to disclose the trained model weights, or the data employed in its training.
The number of awards will vary by region and will be determined based on the caliber of applicants and applicability to the track. The total amount of awards distributed within each region will not exceed $100,000 USD.
We will not accept files uploaded to the application. You can input text or url links to external materials, including links to news articles, blogs, or other public resources describing your use of Llama 2 or 3.
